We have several volunteer opportunities available for members of our community and cross country program to contribute to its success. Please see below for mor information on which activities you are able to participate in.
Two to four families work together to organize spaghetti dinners prior to each meet for team members. These dinners can take place at a home, or community space and are a wonderful opportunity to give back to the program. Sign-ups to host a spaghetti dinner take place at the parent meeting the first week of practice, or if this date has passed, you can contact one of the coaches with questions.
The dates for 2025 dinners are: Sept 3, Sept 10, Sept 29, Oct 3, Oct 8, Oct 22
Following practice at the Holland Lake Trailhead of Lebanon Hills Regional park at 8 am on Saturday, Sept 27th team members will pick up trash along Cliff Rd between Holland Lake Trailhead of Leabanon Hills Regional Park and Hwy 3. Athletes should remember to bring a pair of gloves, and can expect to be finished between 11 and 11:30 am. All other materials are provided.
Fluid Station 10 (Mile 20.6)
Date: Sunday, October 5
Time: 6:00am – 2:05pm
Location: Mississippi River Blvd. & Pelham Blvd. N.
Volunteer Details: Assist with Fluid Station setup. Service runners as a water and/or Nuun Mixer, Pourer or Holder. A select number of individuals will also assist with Pro Fluids, if applicable. Assist with Fluid Station clean up. Assist with other duties as assigned by Fluid Station captain.

Complete Volunteer Application (this is a one-time step and volunteering for additional events going forward, will only include entering First Name and Email Address as the Volunteer Application creates a unique Volunteer Profile.)
On the Marathon Weekend Event page, enter password "FLUID1025" and click “Submit”
The volunteer position will appear, click on the box, and review/complete the waiver (parent/guardian must review/complete waiver for volunteers under the age of 18).
Organize the poster committee for displays at the cross country end of season banquet. Serve as the point person to organize materials and orchestrate an evening for parents to construct posters commemorating the boys' season. Photos can be downloaded from the team's Yogile page if you need additional pictures.
Help to organize the season ending team banquet. The end of the season banquet is a semi-formal celebration of the cross country season. Families sign up to indicate their attendance and are served a dinner while enjoying the program where coaches and athletes review the season. Boys are requested to dress nice. Responsibilities would include ordering food, setting up, and taking down decorations.
Parents can volunteer to serve as a coordinator for the Nike Heartland Regional cross country race. This is an event hosted by Nike at Yankton Trails Park in South Dakota on November 9th. Parents organize the event by arranging hotel rooms and signing athletes up for the race. More information to follow
