Cross country is a dynamic and challenging sport that involves running over natural, varied terrain, such as grass, dirt, and trails. It emphasizes endurance and teamwork, as athletes compete in a 5 kilometer race, navigating hills, mud, and other obstacles along the way. While it’s an individual sport in terms of race performance, teams also compete collectively by combining the finishing positions of their top runners, with the lowest team score winning. Cross country helps build physical fitness, mental toughness, and camaraderie, making it a rewarding experience for young athletes of all skill levels. It’s a great way to develop both personal resilience and teamwork in a supportive, outdoor setting.
Throughout the season the team will engage in various team building activities beyond just practicing and racing
